Một trận đánh vĩ đại, trận đánh đã đưa đến bước ngoặt của Thế chiến thứ II, mở đầu công cuộc giải phóng Tây Âu khỏi sự kiểm soát của Đức Quốc xã, đánh dấu sự bắt đầu của những thất bại của quân Đức sau này.
