Phim Chú Nai Bambi dựa theo truyện Cuộc sống trong rừng của tác giả người Áo Felix Salten. Chuyện phim gián tiếp nói đến đời sống gia đình của người Mĩ thông qua câu chuyện chú nai Bambi bị lạc trong rừng phải tìm cách sống sót để gặp lại được cha mẹ. Phim nhận được ba đề cử Oscar cho Nhạc nền, Âm thanh và Bài hát hay nhất cho Love Is a Song. Doanh thu tổng kết của phim cũng đạt 267 triệu USD và phần hai được ra đời năm 2006.
