Season 2

Marcel and the communist militants conduct a resistance operation but it goes wrong and the French police catch Suzanne.

While the communist group plans their next move, Daniel comes to Marcel with urgent news.

Lucienne is preoccupied with the news of her pregnancy, and seeks spiritual guidance before making a serious decision.

Suzanne and Marcel are caught in a random roundup of villagers and brought in to be questioned by the Germans.

After a father and daughter escape, the Gestapo takes over supervision and the Jewish families remain separated.

Marie successfully helps Hélène escape from the school, but raises the alarm in the process.

Daniel and Sarah stumble upon a wounded man in a barn who escaped capture by the Germans.

Marie brings Vincent to the barn to retrieve his radio equipment so that he can send an urgent message to London.

Suzanne’s reappearance puts Marcel in a very bad spot with his group leader, who discovers he lied about executing her.

Marchetti is under pressure to hand Crémieux over to the Germans, but insists on carrying out his own investigation.

Marie’s farm is under surveillance after Crémieux made a deal with Marchetti to have his family released.

Marchetti relinquishes command of the stakeout before realizing that Rita arrived at the farm.

Season 4

The new mayor of Villeneuve has come out supporting drafting young Frenchmen to be sent off to Germany.

While on the run, Antoine and his new friend Claude end up hiding out at a barn where they meet another draft dodger.

Marie confronts Antoine and the other objectors at their mountain camp, and tries to persuade them to join the Resistance.

Antoine leads his group in combat training for future resistance action, much to the frustration of his fellow companions.

Marcel and Suzanne head into town to warn a Resistance operative of danger, at a huge risk to their own safety.

Marcel, battered after repeated interrogation and torture, wakes up in a cell with other men, including Marie’s son Raoul.

Antoine agrees to help Marie try to free the captive Resistance members with a desperate and daring plan.

The rescue operation succeeds but at the expense of one of the prisoners, who remains in German custody.

Marcel and Daniel are reunited in a prison cell after Daniel is arrested by the French militia.

The Resistance’s complex and risky plan to parade in Villeneuve for the November 11th anniversary is in motion.

With Allied forces fast approaching, the Resistance convenes to debate its next course of action.

Antoine and Suzanne are on the run from the Germans, while the Resistance awaits explosives for the bridge.

After arresting Antoine and Suzanne, Marchetti hopes their captivity will help his negotiations with the Resistance.

The Resistance is reeling from the tragic death of their comrade, while Marchetti awaits a train with the local militia across town.

Retreating German soldiers have taken up temporary shelter in the school, while Hortense and Heinrich are interrogated by American soldiers.

Lucienne focuses all her attention on Kurt, who's gravely wounded; meanwhile, the Resistance meets with De Kervern, the new prefect.

The standoff at the school continues and despite Antoine's efforts to avoid bloodshed, Anselme is determined to extract revenge on the militia.

With a disaster avoided, the new town leadership must decide the fate of the militiamen and the collaborators.

Pressed by his superior to make an example of the militiamen, Bériot must now change his stance.

The trial continues as planned, but a crucial bit of information is revealed to Larcher that hinders the prosecution.

Antoine is charged with rescuing Jeannine Schwartz, while Suzanne is instructed to find damaging information on Bériot.

With Marchetti under arrest and accused collaborators remaining unprotected, the threat of violent reprisals is higher than ever.

Autumn 1945: The trial of Daniel Larcher begins, and Antoine returns to begin a new life with Geneviève.

Jeannine pushes Raymond to run for mayor of Villeneuve, but the arrival of an anonymous letter complicates things.

Antoine makes a shocking confession at the ceremony honoring the four resisters; Marchetti agrees to testify in Daniel Larcher's favor.

Judgment day arrives for Daniel Larcher and Servier; Marchetti's sentence is carried out.

A bloody accident at the sawmill sets off a political firestorm.

Lucienne confronts Bériot about a German soldier he claims to have killed during the war.

Hortense's worsening condition compels Daniel to take drastic action.
